Powers Island information

Powers Island is located in the sheltered waters of Terrence Bay, about 30 km's from Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. The land surface area of the Island is 24.68 acres with a total of 4,605 feet of shoreline. About 1/3 of the island is covered in forest. The centre of the island  is a lush, lower elevation, potentially ideal for cultivation. The shorelines are primarily smaller granite rocks and large boulders known as "erratics".  The East end of the island features a beautiful sandy cove that acts as a safe harbour for mooring.
